Got a question?

What happens if I accidentally purchase the wrong book?
We’re pretty nice around here and are always willing to help students. We realize that sometimes you accidentally purchase the wrong book. In most cases, you have the right to a full refund within the first 14 days after making a purchase. Usually, if you’ve opened a book, you’re right to a full refund is cancelled. Therefore, it’s important to only open the books you need. But there are exceptions to every rule. And again, we’re always willing to help (and listen). Just contact us at and we’ll see what we can do.
Why should I study digitally?
Good question. While there are plenty of reasons for studying digitally, here are three benefits that are proving to be game changers for students in higher education.

#1 Always Available

Just like an American diner, digital learning platforms are open 24/7. Whether you’re a late-night owl or an early bird, you can learn wherever you want and whenever you need.

With information-on-demand, students can absorb content and refresh their knowledge anytime of the day—at home, at school, on the bus or while sitting in a cafe sipping on an overpriced latte. The options are endless.

And with access to content 24/7, students can rest assured they are always getting the most up-to-date information.

So the next time you’re up at 3:00am and are in desperate need of an answer to one of the questions in your microeconomics textbook, instead of speed dialing your professor, go online with Lix!

#2 Saves You Lots of Money

So, you’re heading to university for the first time (or second, maybe third). Not only will you have to find an apartment or rent a room, you’ll need to manage life on a student budget for the next three years (unless you’re rich).

Unfortunately, most of us aren’t rich. So during uni, we’re always looking for deals. Yet, students are willing to fork out so much money (in one lump sum, mind you) at the beginning of each semester for a bunch of heavy textbooks they’ll have to lug around to class.

In fact, studies suggest the average student spends $1,168 on textbooks each year. That’s cray cray! We’re talking money that could be spent on food, Friday bars, traveling or paying the mounting bills students face. No wonder so many students drop out of school.

But before you even consider dropping out (education is very important), rethink the way you buy your textbooks. What if you could get them digitally? You can! And it’s way cheaper (and also better on your back). Digital study apps like Lix will save you up to 70% per year. All your semester textbooks, plus cool study features, like Notes, Translate and Text-To-Speech are available in one app.

So before you head to your university bookstore, first consider if studying digitally is something for you. If it is, don’t waste your money on printed books. Find a digital learning platform that’s right for you!

#3 Faster Way of Learning

Imagine the scenario: you’re in the middle of an open-book exam and you have three
required textbooks on your desk. Question 5 asks for a specific equation from one of
your macroeconomics books but you simply can’t remember which one it’s in. Your
books have more highlights and color-coded tabs than you can count and by the time
you find the equation needed to answer the question, you’ve wasted over 5 minutes. The
problem is, the same thing happened when answering Questions 3 and 4. The clock is
ticking—you’re screwed!

But what if, instead of flipping through countless pages of books, you could type in
equations, terms or phrases into a search bar and obtain instant results? Wouldn’t that
be easier (and save a ton of time)? The good news is, you can!

Study apps like Lix offer Universal Search, a feature where students can search across
all their digital textbooks and notes. Finding exactly what you need, when you need it, saves you tons of time.
What should I do if I can’t find the book I’m looking for?
Trust us—we’re just as frustrated as you. If you can’t find a book, it means we’re still playing tug-of-war with the publisher. But we don’t give up that easily—and will work extremely hard to get it for you! Just send us a mail at with the missing Book Title, Publisher and ISBN and we’ll do everything we can to help.
